  • 2023… Cake exchange ✅ So last year in discussions with a friend, we mentioned how we make cakes for other people, myself as a business and my friend makes for their friends and family….. but when it comes to our own birthdays… we just don’t bother. So this year we arranged to make each other a cake. I received a delicious lemon drizzle cake, which was so delicate, fluffy and light and so lemony with the curd and buttercream 🍋 we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was delicious… perhaps too many slices consumed 🤫🍰 So in return, I made my firm favourite, a chocolate cake, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered with chocolate drip and bright sprinkles ✨ Sometimes these acts of kindness make all the difference to individuals and really did make our birthdays that little be more special 😘 #birthdaytreat #birthdaycake #birthdaygirl #actsofkindness #virgowomen
  • Thank you for my birthday wishes. People often ask me, who makes a cake for a cake maker. This year I was so lucky to actually have a cake made for me from a local friend in our village.   • 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗔𝗚….. 𝗶𝘁’𝗦 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬 🎉 This replica bag was packed full of flavour and some of Lloyds favourite things…. As an officer in the British Army, a keen rugby enthusiast, golfer, someone who loves to travel, has a love for his pets and his family….. attempting to capture all this in a cake, is always a challenge….   • 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 🫶🏻 Here’s some photos of the cake 🍰 What an absolute honour and pleasure it was to design and create this cake for the New Forest National Park Authority and deliver it to the New Forest and Hampshire County Show this year. This is my second year running that I’ve been commissioned to make such a cake for their event and just love everything about the “Forest” in my work, as a forest girl through and through. This huge 4 layered 12” tree stump of a cake was a delicious lemon and elderflower flavour and all the cake and models were edible and handmade and painted / dusted by me. I’ve had a few messages already from people who were mesmerised by the detail of the cake and what was so nice to see when I was delivering and setting it up, was the response from the guests, visitors and children who did not realise it was a cake! 🤣 Thanks to Jerry Coombs for helping me lift such a cake in readiness for transporting. Thanks to Zoe's Fancy Cakes for the inspiration and the amazing modelling techniques and videos on how to create some of my animals… just love Zoes work.   • 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝟭𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗺…. 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝘆𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲 🪂 This delicious luxury chocolate cake, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in dark chocolate ganache was for a regular customer of mine from the village… however was required to be delivered to Salisbury. So needed to ensure it was very stable in this heat. A few tricks of the trade were used, including adding royal icing to the buttercream to make it more stable, that and working until 3am on Saturday morning when the weather is a little bit cooler and kinder to us cake makers….. Despite all of the outside environmental factors, this cake was a delight to make and absolutely love the design and the skydiver. It really worked…. What do you think??
